Pinus bungeana

Post by mudlarkpottery »

Does anybody have information about Pinus bungeana? It is a five-needle pine. I googled it and came up with just your basic info and that it's also called Lacebark Pine. I presume you treat it as any other five-needle pine, but any personal experience is better.

hi penny, info on white pine's/ five needle pine can be a bit obscure. when we cut back the new growth middle of dec, unlike jbp you must not cut all the new growth off, always leave some. pine master's series from stone lantern has a very comprehensive section on 5 needle pines. probably the best info going. :D

Hi Antonio. I understand about five-needle pines, I was after something specific about this species, but thanks. Hi Stymie, that link gave me a little more background info than I had before. Thanks. I was unfortunate to have to set up my stall across from Nesci's at the Gosford show and guess what he had in stock. I hadn't come across this type of pine before so.......
