Hi there crazy kids!!!
Just want to know if anyone knows of a source in Sydney for the above??? I am talking about the quite fine browny pebble that you tend to get in smallish bags at the bonsai nurseries but I am wanting to buy something about the size of a pillow. (Probaby 10/15Kg) Went to ANL in Lane Cove today but their stuff is too big? Any suggestions guys??
Regards
John

Bonsai Environment at Vineyard had large bags of the environmentally-unfriendly stuff last time I was there.

Double check with Grant but I am pretty sure this is the place I picked up some gravel for him and they have a vast selection of sorted sizes bagged up no sifting needed.

It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

Not just Kingston's but most garden supplies that involve removing pebbles, stones, rocks, sand etc from their natural habitat. Moments before posting my comment above an ANL semi went rumbling down my suburban street and I couldn't help thinking about the rivers and other environments that are being damaged by the truckloads of river stones, sand etc that end up in Bunnings and other places.Jester wrote:...BTW Blackie why do u say that Kingston's pebble is environmentally unfriendly?

If that truck hadn't come along just before I came on the forum I doubt I would have commented.
I personally don't see any need to use these items in bonsai (or the home garden or any other landscaping for that matter).
