Grafting wax

Post by Andrew F »

Hi there,

I'm chasing Grafting wax but all i can find is that no where locally sells it, i thought i'd ask here as a last resort before i buy american, online.

Either that or a substitution, it will be for Tanuki. I have steri prune but it is a thick black substance and im not sure if it washes off [not a good look for jin]

Thank you in advance.

Ive only seen the parafilm grafting tape used, but if a sealant is necessary then I'm sure wound sealant would suffice? Please correct me if Im wrong

But I did find this Australian site that sells grafting wax http://www.australianwaxco.com.au/speci ... l#grafting

Thanks Luke, i'll chase up that aussie company tonight. I had a look at the tape but it wont suit my needs, it has to be painted into the cracks between wood and tree.

cheers.

Greetings bonsai fans,
I have been using bees wax made soft with some tea-tree oil.
Nice colour and does not wash off.
Happy bonsai,
Bruce
