Ficus natalensis, layer or leave?
I have this twin trunk natalensis here, both trunks have minimal taper and are the same thickness, i'm thinking of layering both trunks off to improve taper then letting one go nuts for a while while trimming the other occasionally to give some variation in diameter. The trunks are not overly thick but i thought doing it now will help with taper in the future. What do you guys recon?

Howdy,
Sure layer if you want. You could just chop off the thinner trunk.
Check the roots before you do too much.
Merry Christmas,
Bruce.
