Long internodes on ficus

Post by Hornet »

Quick question. Is it normal for figs that have recently been cut back hard to have quite long internodes? All my other figs that havent been disturbed are growing normally with the shorter internodes. I'm guessing this is just normal?

I think the first 1 - 2 sets of leaves will be short, and then lengthen as the branch extends.
Same with Maples too I think from my experience and trimming this morning
