Found these today. Kevin surely is a master at power tool carving. Nice long carving tools too. Look like the same as Will Baddeley was sprooking in another post earlier today.
Hope you all enjoy. Nick

Re: Kevin Wilson Demo
Yeah he's a bit of a wild guy. Not very often you get a demo like this with up close conversation about how and why. You can see where Graham Potter got his style from.
Ther were a few comments he made through this demo in regard to why he doesn't like using raffia & also a flame to take of the furry bits. He stated that used a flame heats the sap flow & will potentially compromise the tree.
Fantastic end product. Now I got the carving bug.

Re: Kevin Wilson Demo
Just personal taste but I preferd the base before carving
, that said he is very good at carving.

It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

The XI International Bonsai Exhibition took place in early May 2005 at Ksiaz Castle in Poland. Kevin Wilson (UK) was there to demonstrate the styling of a collected Juniper.
