dwarf crepe myrtle

Post by astroboy76 »

hey everyone,

here are some pics of my dwarf crepe myrtle. i have only been working on it about 18 months and it has come up quite nicely. i know it doesnt obey all the "bonsai rules" but regardless it is one of my fav tree. and better yet it is just coming into flower and it is flowering nicely on quite short branches. forgive the quality of the pics. had to take them on my phone

its about 40 cm high and about 25-30 cm wide. this is after 18 months work. they ramify really well. normally she is more compact but i let her grown out a bit after pruning late spring to allow her to flower.

Craig, thanks for posting your pics of your dwarf crepe myrtle. Have a couple myself but they are still not in flower.
Perhaps it's this crazy weather. We want some sunshine. :aussie:
