Albizia

Post by MattA »

Earlier this year I picked up this Albizia from a nursery clearance area for $5... I gave it a quick slip pot & stuck in a corner out the way. As it is now starting to fire up again I thought I would drag it out & see whats what.

Its got a nice little base on it and I think could make a good little tree with a bit of work & a few years growing.

The top of each trunk died back over winter so instead of going with a tall feminine tree like the one in Kobayashi's book, I am now thinking shohin....

I havent been able to find much info about their care as bonsai, repotting etc etc so am hoping someone here may have one or be able to point me towards some useful horticultural info for this species.
