Almost 2 yrs ago another AB'er gave me a big lump of an olive with 3 short stubby trunks and very little growth. I hastily buried it in the top garden & tried to forget its existance. That was until yesterday when I found myself with lump in one hand, tomahawk in the other
While I washed the soil off then cut all the roots back to the bole I was looking for some glimmer of an idea... what to do with a lump of wood that was about 35cm dia? At first I was just going to remove the dead trunk & flat bottom the rest......

Lots of detail carving in the future but I had lots of fun with the tommy
