Ficus Benji-'Exotica' - worth propogating

Post by ADO »

Hi,
I have done some more I.D research :reading: as to the type of fig I have made cuttings from and it appears to be from a Ficus Benjamina 'Exotica'. the leaves are mid-sized, dark green and have a 'wavy' appearance.
I have made quite a few cuttings but before I do a large cutting or air layer from that tree I want to find out from other people's experience in propogating this species of Ficus.. from the reading I have done, I believe the 'Exotica isn't recommended Ficus species for bonsai due to die back issues and poor back budding etc.
any help appreciated :tu:
