Hi Hacker,
You should separate the trees for the sake of ventilation and then reposition the trees to improve perspective from eye level view. Then you are all systems go to improve the ramification by trimming the branches. This should all be done after winter as the trees will need a rest if you have been pruning over summer. Just my
Good luck with your elms. As potensai they look very promising.
Cheers,
Brad75.

Heaps of potential here. I think your first job would be to expose the ones hidden behind the front trees. It should not be to difficult. If they are solid you can "V" cut the base and tilt them in the direction you want them to head. The one on the left could even stay and tilt the front one. I personally think, seeing they are all on one base, separation could only be done via layering. Moving them is the easier option.

Hi Hacker , best you throw this in the comby as well , Man can't come to tree so bring tree to man . Wise old proverb
. Lucky you , i'm probably for the weekend { possibly Hospital } otherwise i would insist you drag it along . Its a ripper , is it a Clump or Sinuous Raft
. Cheers Alpineart
