What is happening at Ballarat?

Post by Gerard »

For a great bonsai weekend, :tu: June 30th and July 1st
The Bonsai Federation Of Australia is once again hosting workshops and demonstrations with Hiro in Ballarat.
Many enthusiasts will stay at the venue for the weekend while others will commute from Melbourne and other places not too far away.

I took lots of pictures in 2010

Q: Why are we all here?
A: Because we are not all there.

It seems that some people had the impression that the "Ballarat weekend" was not scheduled this year.
It is organised by Bonsai Federation of Australia and is definitely happening.
I have a registration form in front of me.

Now that the dust has settled after the AABC convention, I am looking foreward to this at the end of the month.
Many of the same faces will be there, the opportunity to learn will be just as good if not better because of the fewer numbers and close up demonstrations.
Workshops are a little different as Hiro likes to do some heavy bending and places more emphasis on the before and after image and future plan. I love the way he sketches the "future", it makes it easy for the student to understand where he is going.

I believe workshop positions are still available.
