If your worried about cats, set some mouse/rat traps (depending how much you hate cats) around the base of the tree. It will at least scare them a bit.

Ok guys this is a great post and I would like to see it still on the board with Chris updating up it regularly. That will NOT happen if this thread goes the way some others have in regards to any mention of mistreatment/cruelty to animals. I refer you to "THE RULES" and urge you keep this thread on the staright and narrow

There want be any traps and such for cats, I don't mind cats and I also have to watch the ltitle grand kids. I just hoping the cats or any thing else for that matter, don't finds the nest.

Sad news guys, found one of the parent doves dead, on Monday, in the back yard, had been attacked by something, probably magpie or butcher bird. The other little dove stayed on the eggs until Thursday, when we got 103mm of rain. Haven't seen it since. I removed the eggs and nest today. Maybe next time.
