I can tell you it's a juniper... but no way in hell what genus.

It could be one of the Callitris, possably C. macleayana.

Thnks for the input.
I think I should also specify that I am residing in Mauritius [ not in Australia ]
The "C. macleayana" seems to be found only in Aus [ according to wikipedia ]
Could it be a Juniper Communis?

Looks to me like a juniper but I think J. communis has prickly adult foliage (more like the juvenile growth on this one) rather than the smoother scale like needles yours appears to have as mature growth so probably not communis. So many species around the world and even more cultivars, varieties and hybrids that it is really hard to pin a name on any unknown specimens.
