This small tree is growing in an old country garden, could be 80 - 100 years old. I'm looking at layering off some to grow on as a bonsai and some as a replacement for the owner; does anyone have any idea just what this tree is?

I'm pretty sure that's a trident maple or a taiwan. Not sure but that's just :imo:
