my port jackson fig
huy guys this is my first post thought i would put up my fig that i have had for about two years and get your thoughts on it this photo was two years ago in 2010 i think. i will be posting a more recent pic soon

Hey Seth
If this was a recent photo I would say ... get it out of that meaningless pot and into --
A: A small shallow pot .. get rid of the aerials it would look fine.
B: Put it in a bigger shallow orchard pot and let it Grow!!
I suspect that you have made one of these moves ... so lets see a current pic.

Nice trunk development in 2 years. Now you need to develop the branching too. Get some wire onto them and bend them out and down. Let them extend and thicken slightly then cut them back hard so they back shoo into multiple shoots. Let those thicken and extend then repeat.
Over a few years you will get defined branches and nice ramification too. The leaves will also reduce in size too.

my fig now im trying to wire it but this is my first ever attempt any idears would be appreciated as i dont know much about wirring thanks guys

Best thing about figs...there are hundreds of posts,pics and ideas if you get stuck for ideas or tips for wiring. There are some pretty good guides and topics/advice on wiring here.
