Hello everyone, I'm pretty new to bonsai and was recently up at the Gold Coast and having a chat to Roger Lunt at The Defined Garden who runs a beginners class where you get tuition on two plants covering basic skills and get to keep the plants at the end. Unfortunately i wasn't up there long enough to attend a class and was hoping to find something similar here in Melbourne. So if anyone knows of something similar, whether its a club or store if you could point me in the right direction that would be hugely appreciated.
I'm based in the CBD and don't have a car so proximity might be a factor, also really excited about yamadori scouting so if anyones planning a trip anytime please count me in!.
Regards,
Charlie.

Hi Charlie
The Victorian Bonsai Society holds monthly meeting on the 3rd Monday of every month, and alternates between workshops and demonstrations.
Meetings are in Kew, which is less 10km's from the CBD and there is a beginners working group at each of the workshop nights.
