Hollow trunk olive

I collected this tree about 20yrs ago its been living at my parents :lol: :lol: :lol: but finaly got it home today it hasnt done much growing gave a big drink of seasol as well :whistle: :whistle: . It needs to be repoted as the grow is poor been told it has been in its current pot for over 6yrs now. I need to make a grow box for which ill do shortly the hollow trunk was done when collected as i noticed it was very soft an water logged so i spent hrs removing the rotten wood :lol: :lol: :lol: an has been like it is ever since he is some pictures.

Great stump mate !!! that would make a cracka broom !!! Its natural style... :tu:

Ive never done a broom style tree before but i think you guys are right tho :tu: :tu: :tu: picture below shows where im hopeing for shoots as there is live wood here ( red circles) i plan to re-pot as soon as i can then come spring start to feed it to get the growth that it should have . The tree is 120cm tall righ now so will aim to lower this as well as im sure there is more then 10cm burried below soil level :lost: :lost: :lost: :lost: let me no if the picture is about right for a broom style tree

Never worked with a olive, will they put out shoots where you have the area marked out?

It should shoot where i have marked out first step is to get it healthy again ill grow it a full season once repotted then cut back alot of the growth it should then back bud like crazy , ive tried this method on 3 other olives i have 4 weeks ago an they shooting really well will have picks of my old one in a few weeks ive finaly got shoots half way along the trunk just to small to to take a picture right now :tu: :tu:
