Ficus Benjamina Sale day Purchace!

Post by emi93m »

As noted on a previous post our Bonsai school had a sale day for students and teachers to sell some of there trees. I picked up this Ficus Benjamina From one of my teachers at a giveaway price " no haggling was involved in the transaction " :lol: I have big plans for this tree. Looks a bit bare at the moment but I am sure that by this time next year after a bit of wiring and TLC it will have a massive transformation. I wont tell you the price I stole it for but I am sure most of you can read the price on the side of the pot. Most people say that the " Benjaminas are not the ideal Ficus subject for Bonsai But I have seen some incredable specimens grown as Bonsai in Sydney with the right care.

Regards Mick

Hi Mick;
Good luck with the Benjamina , I have a fair collection of them myself. Courtesy of a neighbour who sold his house and passed on to me his house plants.I find them to be an excellent tree and they seem to push on all year round.
Cheers John.
