You are not the only one

Funny thing I have collected a few Olives, and Every one of them has failed to put out roots!
Planted them in the ground, in pots, left them in Water and none of them ever have grown! :o :x
I maust be the only one in existence that cannot get an olive to root!

Some in Full sun, Some in part shade. Always seasol and they get a spray most days with my watering system but always had them on the edges so they never got flooded. How do you know when they need watering? usually just a bare trunk so no foliage to droop?

Yeah bare trunk most time all ways flat cut the base, then plant into good potting mix an placed in full sun an give good drink of seasol. With watering i let it dry out about 1cm deep then water.

Ken, the record I've heard of here in Cape Town for an olive to restart is 4 years. That's a lot of waiting, so just be sure they are truly dead before you toss 'em!
