I've been pretty quiet so I thought i'd share todays adventure.
Got a call from my bonsai homie Ricardo on Thursday morning. He ask's "What are you doing on Saturday ? " I replied
with " Nothing man, what do you have planned ? " He got the hook-up to dig some azaleas in Melbourne. They've been in the ground
for 2-3 years and they're 1 metre tall. Trip planned for Saturday 9am. Digging tools packed, gps programmed in, lets go.
When we got there they looked abit drab but after closer inspection we knew these guys we're abit older than 2-3 years.
They had been grown in a front yard garden bed no more than 200mm deep and came out with ease (fibrous rootballs ready for bonsai pots) and were in soft loam. I really wish collecting was this easy all the time.
Got them home and gave them some seasol.
