Boon workshops 2012

Post by Gerard »

We had a great time at the Boon workshops
Sunlight streaming into the room and a large audience made photography difficult but I managed to capture a few.

Great result on that Red Pine Grant !!! Congrats, makes a hell of a difference to a composition when the foliage is brought back closer to the trunk. This in turn with the new angle and stronger movement has created a far more interesting focal point. The tree is now dancing...

I loved the red pine before the workshop but now it will be even better.
Grants black pine was similar and the transformation was my favorite of all the workshops.

Hi all,

the workshops were extremely instructive for me as of course we were able to get up close to see Boons techniques, likes and dislikes.

His standard of work was exceptional and he was very particular about wiring. I thought I was a reasonably good wirer but will have to practice a lot to get to his level or even near it. His work with pines was great and the information that was delivered over the entire weekend was first rate.

I also thought my wiring was OK, I have taken in a few aspects and am determined that I will wire correctly in future.
