I have lots of these around my yard. They seem to grow to 1.5 m high. Pretty sure they have a red unique shaped flower. I've also noticed a lot of them around Brisbane.
Cheers,
Sam
Any help would be appreciated.[ID] on a tree I've just dug please

Ochna Serrulata. Popular amongst the Vietnamese fraternity here in the West. An invasive weed on the East Coast, so I'm not sure of your restrictions.
Has a real pretty flower (buttercup-like) and very interesting seed pods. Google "Mickey-Mouse plant" and you'll see.
Cheers!
Anthony

I concur - slow growing (here where I am), so some patience will be needed to bonsai them!
