I have this lopsided sao to me azalea that is not very symetrical, i'm not sure whether to cut back the long side or grow out the short side.
I'm leaning toward the cutting back option because i like it compact, any opinions?
I think the cut back method is the one to go with. I would also get rid of the first left branch as it is a parrallel branch. That may help with the overall width which I think is too much for the current height of the tree. These are a great little tree.
I was thinking of cutting back to keep the silhouette just inside the rim of the pot as I want to keep it as a broom, mushroom shape.
