Hi all, sorry to make yet another "where can I get diatomite?" thread but i'm heading to Adelaide on Sunday and was hoping to pick up some while I was there. If not I'll have to hit bunnings and see what I can find there.
Thanks in advance, Andrew.

Usually the bigger pet stores sell it as kitty litter, it can also be sold a spill absorbent. Mt Sylvia Kleensorb is what you are after.

bunnings have richgro aquatic mix, and some supermarkets sell Chandlers kitty litter which is attapagulate (unsure of spelling) which is okay to use but will have to be changed yearly as it breaks down like akadama does.

Found Chandler's at the local woolies, was just hoping to find some Kleensorb. Oh well.
Do I use the Attapulgite straight or mix it with some other stuff? Haven't found a supplier for Zeolite yet

You can use Chandlers straight or with a good free draining potting mix. The Kleensorb would be much more economical - perhaps have a look at the company's website to see if you can locate a local supplier. It is also sold at some engineering supply outlets as an oil absorbent. If you find a large produce store they should have it too.

Re: Diatomite in SA
I've been looking for a supplier of kleensorb in Adelaide myself but haven't had any luck yet. Would be interested to know if anyone else knows where to get some.
