Large Desert Ash raft

Post by Olivecrazy »

Have had my eye on this tree   has been cut down in the past i would think to have multiple trunks like this. Around the base it has branches that are layered down so thinking it will make a good raft planting only problem is its location   . Have spoken to council an so far it has been positive been given some contact details so fingers crossed more then likely a big fat NO but as far as i see it you dont no till you ask :tu: :tu:

Just tell the council that it is a vision imparment for traffic and they will probablly have it removed, but tell them that you will do it, also i dont think anyone will complain if you just do it but dont leave a big hole there

Congratulations! I have always found Councils very co-operative in this regard as long as you are not removing native plants. Can't wait to see the photos of the dig.
There will be photos of the dig won't there?

It was a long day its planted in my back yard now   took a quick picture as it was dark when i was done   will lift it out next winter for another go at the root system will still need to be cut a bit flatter :imo: . I found these harder at this size then olives :palm: olives are just a stump that you cut flat these things have a mass of roots you have to fight you way through.

I think the hardest part for this tree now is to get both main trunks to work well with each other its going to be a big tree but at least i will not have to worry about leaf size

Any designs or ideas about this one let me know as im in no rush with this beast :D
