Morning experts, I'm curious to know how well Chamaecyparis take from thickish (3cm thick) cuttings? I have acess to a rather tall plant and was looking at chopping it up/down and creating a forest.
Am I better off layering -not my preferred option due to the length o time and number of cuttings.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Sorry no pics as yet.

Re: Chamaecyparis cuttings
Cuttings on this Genus do work, but not 3cm thick, that sounds like a aerial layer job.
Cuttings of 5mm or so thick that spring back to position when bent over are the best candidates for the job and plant into perlite, vermiculite or something that will retain moisture while allowing water and air to move freely around the base of the cuttings to encourage callousing.
Just can't remember what month I did it in now
