magnolia campbellii

Post by craigw60 »

For anyone interested in this genus the species campbellii is the largest deciduous species. It takes around 15-20 years to flower and grows into a medium sized tree.
We are lucky to have a reasonably old specimen in the garden and it has loved the cool wet seasons we have had for the last couple of years. I have to do battle with the cockatoos every year to keep the flowers on this tree which they find very tasty
