I have had this 3yrs purchased as a $5 cutting. It was time to put some shape and direction to it. Still need to work on the taller trunk. The nebari is coming along very well. Next year it will go in the ground.

Love the Cherry, the only cherry that I have had success with is Prunus campanulata from Taiwan, it tolerates the sub tropics and flowers every year.

Re: Setting up a cherry, acer and apricot
Great to see your posts ^^ where do you find so much time.. its great enthusiasm
Your nebari's do look great and that is certainly a department that i need to get better at
I saw your cherry and I absolutely have been wanting one for ages and yesterday was the day
Got 2! Will post pics soon.
Qs.. 1 has a straight up trunk then branching that's been chopped back.. I guess from this limited info
Would you chop right to the base and grow complete new branching? Would these trees survive that considering I have potted it.. a lot of hard yakking
