[WANTED] - large shallow oval pot
Hello all,
Anybody got a large bonsai pot, shallow and oval, approximately 70cm across? Need this to display a rock planting I'm working on. A local nursery does sell them but at that size they are a bit too expensive for me right now.
Any assistance is appreciated, cheers.

Re: [WANTED] - large shallow oval pot
Hi Mo, you could possibly try making something up using some plywood cut to shape, then get some fibreglass matting & resin to cover it over. I made a tray like that once and shaped around the edge of the ply with plaster before i put the mat & resin down over it. It came up a treat, and not too expensive either, about $35 I think. cheers, miyagiman.

Did you try the orient garden bonsai nursery in Reservoir ? They have a comprehensive range of large trays and its surprising cheap. The owner Simon imports direct from China.

mo, could you give a better idea what you are after? I have a large flat dish... but no idea if it's what you want.

Hmmm, seems a little small for what I need, however I wouldn't mind using it for one of my Japanese maples. Pic below of what I'm looking for!!
From left to right between 60 and 80cm will do, front to back not overly concerned about. Preferably flat (no little leg things).
Cheers peoples!
