Re: A 'Root Over Aquarium Decoration' Thread
Great picture, thanks for that!
However, I'm facing a lot of opposition for attempting what I want to attempt. People keep saying that this isn't a wise idea since the product would look "juvenile" and "unattractive." They also keep telling me I should just use a rock instead. Ugh

Maybe it would be in the initial stages, give it a couple of years and they will be envious. Use very hard wood and maybe treat with a wood hardener/preserver before you start to stop it rotting. You just go for it buddy.
Maybe it is they who are "juvenile and unattractive" with their opinions. It's all about experimentation.

I believe the wood from the tree that this stump was harvested from is very hard and solid. That's a good idea about treating the stump with a hardener/preserver to prevent rot, I just might have to do it. Thanks for the encouraging words

Thanks! I still haven't fully made up my mind on what I want to do, and the tree is still growing in the long tube. Gotta decide....Rintar wrote:I know its an older thread but i say go for it it is your tree your money done your way in your own ideals as long as your happy what does it matter![]()
