Howdy,
Swampys are good. Manage the roots every year. If you notice the classic "knee" coming up out of the soil, there will be a big root underneath pushing it up.
Happy bonsai,
Bruce

Ken it spent about a week in the drum pot in the first pic, majority of its life was in the tub pictured on the second pic where the roots found there way into the ground. The setting was watered heavily and fertilised fortnightly with whatever i had lying around, Aquasol, Miracle grow, chook poo or Seasol.

An excellent group Shannon. Was it inspired by the group in the Arboretum in Canberra :?:

No it wasn't Bodhi, I actually wanted to make a swampy version of Naka's "Goshin" , but somethings don't always turn out the way you want. :palm: :)

Hi Shannon , very nice progression here . I have just re-potted mine and set a 5 group forest , no where near advanced as these only 2 year olds , but one day they may be .

Cheers Alpine

That looks stunning!

I have learnt two things in this post - one is patience, the other is that swamp cypress is deciduous? :D :D :D
There are many ways to do things, but only one "best" way.
