Driftwood - Methods To Preserve

Ok so I have several beautiful pieces of driftwood that I want to preserve

Many of us use lime sulfur however I was wondering whether there are other methods that people also use

Reason is that want to preserve the "natural look" of a particular driftwood that is reddish and using lime sulfur would make it turn white

It is not the same as those found it aquariums though I wonder if they treat theirs cause I do have one that is rock hard after many many years

A mat clear coat
or perhaps a similar coloured wood hardner ?

I'm not an expert but this is probably where I would start. Oh and would defantly do a few test pieces with a few different products to be 100% happy with the finished result before commiting

try some "Earls Wood hardener"
is clear and leaves a natural finish on the timber
