Coast Red Wood - Kelly's Prostrate

I thought I'd give this specie a go as I haven't come across them in the art form of Bonsai nor does there seem to be much info other than it has a horizontal growth habit and rarely shoots up a vertical leader.

I know little about this particular specie and was wondering whether there are people here that has grown them in the art form successfully ?
