Pines - Grafting

Post by The Specimen »

This question is for all pine species however more specifically aimed at the one I have in question.. Pinus Syvestris Argentea.

Is it relatively still safe and viable for me to perform several types of grafts including approach grafts?

Other than cut paste (which I currently do not have) are there alternatives to safely seal the wounds?

With approach graft method, the graft exits on the side of the trunk which doesn't seem an optimal placing..

Do I simply extend the exit portion around the trunk so that it appears more to come out from the middle?
