Turning this into that..Juniperis chinensis prostrata
I have a lot of Junipers growing into bushs but when you get to work on them you can create quite dramatic scenes. This is a windswept created from one of my stock trees. I am slowly going to work through them so i will add to this post. But this is first cab off the rack.

there is something funny going on here.
To me the bottom 2 branches are very different than the top 2, and seem to fight each other. Do you not think they shod all leave the trunk at a similar angle?

I know there is a lot of confusion about juniper names. This one does not look like J. chinensis to me but there was one with similar foliage to this under the same name at Canberra last weekend. It was generally agreed that it was likely misnamed and is more likely to be junperus procumbens 'nana'. How certain are you of the identity of this one you have posted?
Despite the uncertainty about names both species make really great bonsai very easily.
