Broken apex on Sao-to-me

Post by Bonsai4ever »

When we were moving in 2009 something fell on my Sao-to-me and broke the apex off so I had to find a new leader and build the apex again. As I look at the photos today I feel that whatever fell on my tree did me a favour – What do you think?

Hi, I very much agree - the regenerated apex is much more appealing. Overall you have a lovely tree there, congratulations. Ash

Ditto to Ash and KC, a much improved bonsai. If you don't mind me asking, how tall is it now?

Thanks for the replies Ash, Ken and Watto.

This little tree stands 23cm from pot rim and I don.t envisage it getting much taller.
