Re: WHAT TREE IS THIS??
I saw this tree on another forum and it has me stumped. Leaf looks like Grewia but trunk and branches are very cherry looking.

Re: WHAT TREE IS THIS??
Someone says it could be a Malus Augustifolia or Southern Crabapple. My other crabapples don't look like this but???

Re: WHAT TREE IS THIS??
Hi again Marlee,
Thanks for the larger pics. Much clearer but unfortunately they don't have any real distinguishing features that i can see. We will probably have to wait for flowers to get an accurate id.
Leaves look a little like some of the plums but could also still be one of the apple species (there are lots, some with quite different leaves) hence the previous question.
Hoping someone else will recognise it.

Re: WHAT TREE IS THIS??
Thanks everyone. I must say I am not fond of this tree which is why it looks like it does. I should do something with it to like it more.

Does look sort of fruity.. At first I thought guava, but I don't think so. Maybe something like that though..

Re: WHAT TREE IS THIS??
My last effort
I think the tree is a Prunus cerasus or English sour cherry Aka Morrelo cherry. I have one or two and when i was watering this arvo i recalled yours as the leaf is very, very close. Mine are darker but i still think that is the vigor of your tree.

Re: WHAT TREE IS THIS??
Thanks again Bodhi. The leaf does look like the cherry you mentioned. I have not seen a flower or anything interesting on this tree since I have had it. It has been put in the corner and forgotten.
