My Pot frustration

Post by Jester »

Hi there crazy kids!!! Can anyone help with the following problem????

I am looking for a company that sells "glazed" bonsai pots of various sizes "wholesale" . Now before you go any further, I need someone in Sydney as the freight from interstate more often than not does not make it worth my while (unfortunately). I am looking to buy various sized pots in lots of 50 to 100. Now before you go any further... I definitely do not want to but from any existing bonsai nurseries in Sydney (no offence but I have my reasons). So, essentially I am after one of those places that would sound something like "Guangzhou trading company" blah blah blah. I think you get the jist. I know I am probably walking a narrow corridor here guys but there must be someone on the forum who knows of some place.

Thanking you in advance

Jester

You could check out some of the listings on eBay and ask them if they do bulk qty's?

Hi Ken, I would'nt have a problem trying to communicate with a chinese manufacturer but as far as I can tell, there do not appear to be in Sydney. If they are, they don't seem to want to be found. I must say, it appears to be a very unusual industry that's for sure.

You should contact Simon from orient garden bonsai nursery. He imports wholesale from China full shipping containers full of pots. He has the biggest bonsai pot supply in Australia. He is based at Reservoir in Melbourne but I'm sure he can freight to you at a reasonable rate.

May I suggest finding a company that already imports vast quantities of crockery, stone lions and garden pots from the middle kingdom? They may already bring in the odd pot or two or know where to get them from on their shopping trips.

Hi Brian, as previously mentioned, interstate is unfortunately not viable as the cost of freight does not make it worthwhile.

What about Kingston from Bonsai Environnment.
He imports by the containerload and may have some contacts.

Maybe Mr song might know someone as well https://www.ausbonsai.com.au/wiki/index. ... tal_Bonsai

Only other suggestion is to try some of the local Chinese Supermarkets, They may have importer contacts
