. That's going to be one hell of a Phoenix Graft

. If you start with good material all the hard works basically done , bit like the yamadori they collect overseas old aged material and your half way there . Look forward to seeing this complete and in full progression .

I'm nearly there mate just need to hunt down some Shimpaku's to graft on! The nurser I go to has very few that I would deem to be usable.. and in fact very few in general. Might head up to Orient sometime to see what they're packing! I think we Phoenixers deserve more credit since less of the work is done for us!

Finally got a Juniper attached to this, but I'll be honest it's not the best looking thing right now haha. Got a LONNNGGG way to go.

Once I make sure the Junipers recovering nicely (Shimpaku - my favorite junis) I'll do some more work and post pics.

It has plenty of greatly placed branches just waiting on some thickening and shaping. Might be pushing it time-wise but the tree also needs a bit of a repot. Great opportunity to fit it into a larger pot rather than reducing too much from the roots, thus allowing plenty of room for growth and thus fattening of the trunks

Update done, back to staring at my trees.
