A Fig named - MATT
What a sunday
This morning a Mate of mine Matt helped me to repot a Fig tree that was in dire need of some TLC - actually it was in dire need of some soil.
I acquired the tree a few weeks ago.
It's a huge tree and I couldn't move it on my own, so my mate helped out (we could only just move it with the 2 of us) in recognition of his efforts I've called the tree MATT.
It was kept in 2 foam boxes taped together to make a big foam box.
It had not been repotted or pruned in some time and was sulking.
Some pics of repotting.
Will let it rest and recover its health.
Will keep you posted

A Fig named - MATT
Quick spring update
Fig has grown very well since the repot and fertilizing.
First defoliation this week to take a look what was under greenery. After an hour of pruning out unneeded branches (still more to go) and about 1/3 of the wiring done this is the result -
