Really quick question. Are assassin bugs/nymphs pests to bonsai? They're a beneficial insect usually. I've got a few of them in one of my pre-bonsai.

They're beneficial insects in the garden cause they eat other pests, but don't know about bonsai. They don't seem to be harming the plant, they're just on it and I can't prune it cause they bite.

Assassin bugs are predators and have no interest in your bonsai except as a place to hunt for food. I have never heard of them biting humans, unless the bugs you have are something else??

I figured. Assassin bugs, at least when mature, can bite with their sharp proboscis that they use to impale their prey. I suppose that wouldn't be biting so much as stinging. I didn't chance it so I plucked them off so I could work on the tree.
