Bodhi fig??

Post by Qitianlong »

Hey all,
anyone know what this plant is :reading: ? I bought it a year ago from a Mc-hardware store nearby  and potted it up (my second bonsai...) and it did well (first photo) , but over winter it lost all its leaves and shriveled up into nothing  . Thinking it dead, but not wanting to just throw it out, I stuck it in a nursery pot and forgot about it until seeing it today hidden behind a jacaranda... and it's ALIVE :worship: !!! The label Mc-hardware called it a 'bodhi fig'...

Sounds like it's the right one from what I quickly read.
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Hackimoto... do yours die back? I'm not sure why mine did, but it seems happy in its dark corner now so I'll leave it there.
