[SOLVED] Tree Species?

Post by Shinkitai »

DSCN0314.JPG
The below photos are of a couple of trees in my neighbours front yard. I really like the white colour of the trunk/branches and the way the leaves layer. It is a rental property so the neighbours have no idea what it is. I have seen a few around on the Gold Coast.

Can anyone ID this tree? Is it a good Bonsai subject?

Thanks in advance

Leopard tree,Caesalpinia ferra, I have seen it used but it has a bad habit of branch die-back for no reason and very upright growth. Bard is nice though.
