Hi Pup, I would be interested to how it looks tilted to the left if you could post photos. maybe 15 degrees, maybe 25. It may flow better or be a little more dynamic, and make more sense with the trunk coming out at an angle. Then again it may not.

Hi ya gargar, I will do that tomorrow as nothing is set, as to where this tree will end up. It will be later tomorrow though as I have a busy day. Nothing Bonsai till I get home, around lunch time then water the small ones.

Well it is update time for the Ugly Juniper. The last Tweak was a TWEAK TOO FAR. The tree has now gone from ugly to dead, I do still have avery nice pot though.

Thanks for posting the whole progression. It was certainly worth trying.

Posting successes, is very satisfying, but we should also show our failures. Then try to work out why it failed. I said a tweak to Far was the problem. After taking the wire and bindings off I noted that the trunk had split lengthwise, also there was some fungal deposits there so water had set up a spot for the fungus.

I feel that was part of the dying, as well, I now have some pieces of juniper wood for Tanuki.

Yes and some post no pictures at all :palm:
Sorry it did not work out.
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.
