Well haven't done much with this grape but It got a new pot today and the bark got a good clean. Maybe this year I will find it's plan?

It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

Re: What to do with a 120 year old Grape
I am sorry Bretts but the pot does not suit the tree for mine. To small and dinky. It qualifies for a much better pot than that.
I know they are hard to come by though and it would do until something more substantial comes along.

Oh you are a hard man Bodi. The pot was a blind buy and I was suprised the tree fit into it, even Danica told me it was too small. I was thinking it would do for now but I do have another choice I could try tomorrow, it would be no worse but easier to care for.

Re: What to do with a 120 year old Grape
It is growing well but apart from changing into a larger pot as Bodi suggested (which was a very good idea
) I have just let it grow this year. The chooks have eaten all the grapes
Might have to do some styling next season

Re: What to do with a 120 year old Grape
Looking great so far
I always wondered whether a Grape would make a good candidate for bonsai. I've got so many around my area (Swan Valley) that have amazing trunk lines, but never knew if they'd work or not. Might have to dig up the one in our backyard now

Have a question? The AusBonsai Wiki most likely has the answer!
