Re: Problem with my Trident Maple
I have suffered this problem in the past and have observed that a light prune of the tree and upping the feeding (i use a totally organic fertiliser) it tends to grow out. This year it has not raised its head at all and i put it down to the change of my feeding regime. This year i am feeding my trees EVERY watering via a tank setup and the foliage feed is, i think, helping to keep this condition at bay. All my trees are much healthier. This year i have only had to spray my pines for white pine mite and used Rogor to do this. Enough cannot be said about a regular feeding regime, foliage feeding and good soils which gives the trees generous health to combat fungus's and disease, also insect attack. Not one bit of spraying (other than the pines) you have to be happy about that.
