[ Identification ] : Ilex or not Ilex?

Post by xtolord »

Hi all,
I bought two shrubs [ more like sticks ] at a nursery today.
The guys there name it "Oui" and even wrote it like that on the receipt.
But I've not been able to find anything plant related to that name once I got home.

I've made some searches and the closest thing I've found is Ilex.
But I'm not 100% positive.

Could anyone kind of help me identify this plant - confirm or point in another direction?

Characteristics:
Woody
Buds back on old wood
Leaves appearence are mix:
1. Leaf oblong/round with smooth edges = Seems to be juvenile leaves
2. Leaf wavery with spiky edges, there are literally small spikes on the leaf edges = seems to be mature leaves
