Wow, maple. They are some great trees and those Japanese pots are awesome. You don't find quality Japanese pots like that in Australia very often. The mini trident on the rock is fantastic.

Are you open to sell these on here before they get the YVBS sale?

Thanks David, already sold 2 through PM. Open to offers. The Maple you like has already gone as well a Satsuki. The Satsuki photographed with Flowers may aslo be sold. Those pots were purchased while I was in Japan, not brought in commercially in numbers, so potentially 1 of's in Australia.

Here's a sample of the pre bonsai stock I will be bringing along
I firmly believe in the importance of root work on pre bonsai so when my trees are repotted you will see the work that has been done to prepare these trees for a long life in a bonsai pot

Hi All

hope the sale day was a success for both buyers and sellers, besides CraigW's great bonsai material, i spotted this Melaluca under a bench for $20 bucks from an american guy who's son quoted it was dying lol!!! was still keen though and will give it some TLC, BTW i think the potting mix it was in i think did not help it thrive, also mentioned i was going to attempt to bend it and after an hour of cracking, bending, super glue and sore hands this was what i could come up with, just couldn't help myself, as i really need to reduce my collection, i will eventually put some of my trees for sale, when i get to it.

in November - again?! There were a lot of happy buyers which grabbed some very good bargains and most of the sellers were asking when we'll have the next sale day, because they'd love to come back (tables are almost booked out now)!

For the ones who missed out .... watch this space!!!

I picked up these Japanese maples shohins from a man from ascot vale unsure of his name but was told they were air layers off a imported japanese maple from the mountains in Japanese years ago think he said they were in pots now for 10 yrs maybe more .Great root systems if I lift them at all the whole pot moves makes me think roots fill these shallow pots .
May need a bit of work but winter project and spring nothing being done till then
just keep them alive in these shallow pots !

Wish I'd got his name but I was in a rush to get back home as I had afternoon company !
