Re: Which Juniperus is best for beginner?
Juniper procumbens nana, or sergeants junipers are top of the list. Vey hardy and sprout back on old wood.
Re: Which Juniperus is best for beginner?
Sargent's Juniper is Juniperus chinensis?
But there are several species of Juniperus chinensis - expansa variegata, stricta, stricta variegata, spartan... Or is that juniperus chinensis sargentii?
I'm new at this so I whant to pick up best.

Welcome to AusBonsai Vladasm
I think it is juniperus chinensis sargentii? you are after, but that will depend on what the nursery has too
Juniper Procumbens will be the next choice
